Bread Day at our school

The recipe of a well known German bread is shown by some pupils of form three and four. We like the flavour of this bread very much and had a lot of fun during the preperation and as you can see, the pupils are in a very good mood.

Some weeks ago the National Agency has sent the COMENIUS shield to our school. Together with all pupils it was fixed at the school wall.

In a bakehouse

Every day we can buy and eat different sorts of bread and rolls. Therefore we wanted to know how they are made and how a bakehouse looks like.
So we visited a bakehouse and met the baker. In the school lessons before we made a list of questions we wanted to ask. When we were in the bakehouse we were very surprised to see the big machines and baking ovens. The baker explained them to us and we learned something about the ingredients and special bread recipies.
We watched the baker during his work and we realized the different steps which are necessary before a bread can be sold in our shops.

Europe at school

Our pupils are looking forward to visiting the Comenius partner school in Tallinn/Estonia.

Visiting the windmill

Some weeks ago the pupils of our school visited the windmill in Lathen.
Here they met the miller who explained how the windmill worked and what the miller had to do in former times.
